Yokohama City has restored seven Western Houses in Yamate area and opened them to the public for free.
 
The original owner of this lovely house was Fritz Ehrismann who was born in Zürich Switzerland and came to Japan in 1888 to join a trading business.
 
The design is so modern, and sophisticated that it is hard to believe that it was built almost 100 years ago.
 
What really stood out to me, were the beautiful green window frames!
